Will Vala selected Co-Offensive Player of the Year by Downers Grove North coaching staff

Downers Grove North varsity football banquet honored many of this season’s accomplishments including reaching the IHSA 7A Semi-finals marking the third straight year going deep in the playoffs. Will Vala was selected Co-Offensive Player of the Year for the team and received praise from the coaches.

Downers Grove North head coach Joe Horeni had this to say,

“Another guy who played a lot of football for us – offensively, defensively – I’ve been hear 8 years, obviously Coach Kleck has been here 51, and I can’t speak to the years before but one of the most if not the most physical offensive blocker I’ve been around. Very impressed with him, he’s going to Illinois to have a great year and I didn’t even talk about his great catch that he stabbed up from the heavens against Lincoln Way West. He’s going to have a great career – hard to replace.”
